Leave a Legacy

Leaving a Legacy

Giving an education to people who need it the most creates a legacy that can never be taken away.

We make sure that excluded groups get the chance of education and of building a future for themselves in some of the most unstable areas of the world. They are facing desperate situations but they are determined to overcome this and they know education is critical to their success. With your future support, we can be there to meet this need and help people and communities work to pull themselves out of conflict and poverty.

As someone who believes in our work, your own legacy will ensure that educational opportunities continue for our communities in the years to come. By planning your estate today, you can build education systems for tomorrow.

Why leave a legacy to AET?

We believe that every person has a right to learn, receive quality education and fulfil their potential and your legacy will support our ongoing work to achieve this. Leaving a legacy to AET is a wonderful way to make your support to our communities and to the power of education live on.

Anyone can leave a legacy and legacies come in all shapes and sizes. After you have provided for your loved ones, a gift in your will is a wonderful way to continue your support for others through AET. Through your legacy:

  • £100 could establish and support the operation of a travelling library.
  • £500 could provide a grant for a primary school to improve school infrastructure.
  • £1000 could pay for girl-friendly spaces in schools such as separate toilets.
  • £2000 could pay for vocational training courses for 25 young Somalis to give them an alternative to joining armed militia groups.
  • £10,000 could fund a full year’s salary for 25 teachers providing adult literacy classes to women who never had the chance to attend school.
