This year Africa Educational Trust is proud to announce that we will be partnering with My Cause UK, the UK’s leading festival volunteer community.

Become an Africa Educational Trust Volunteer and make amazing things happen – not just for one weekend, but for a summer! Every shift you do helps people in Eastern Africa gain the tools to live a life free from poverty.

You’ll discover a community of like-minded people who love festivals and want to give something back. You’ll also get all the training you need, secure crew camping, a meal voucher for every shift, hot showers, toilets, tea and coffee, and access to phone charging facilities!

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to camping and looking to do something different, you can join our volunteer team at music festivals across the UK. This year we will be partnering with My Cause UK who will ensure that you are well and truly looked after as well as donating to us on behalf of each volunteer. Signing up is easy – just select us as your chosen charity!

Simply register your details to apply as a volunteer and remember to select Africa Educational Trust as your chosen charity. All volunteers get free entry to the festival, and once you’ve completed your festival volunteering experience, My Cause UK makes a donation to our organisation. There’s no need for you to do any additional fundraising and it’s a great way to see your favourite artists perform live! Festivals involved include Boomtown, Noisily, Boardmasters, Bestival, Download and loads more!

Whilst volunteering at your chosen festival volunteers take on a variety of roles which may include: stewarding stages, campsites and car parks, running festival eco-bonds, staffing gates, checking tickets and wristbanding. Other roles could involve working on a bar, merchandising stall or even just ensuring that your fellow revellers are happy and are having a good time.
